Our Therapists
We are pleased to present Amber Lynn Connell, MA. She is an employee at the Center for Growth. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in May, 2010. In addition, she has published an article on the topic of bereavement group therapy. Amber obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Immaculata University in 2008, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was on the dean’s list for all 8 semesters. Also during her college career Amber worked as a Psychology Tutor and a research assistant on a poster presentation for the Eastern Psychological Association (2007) that focused on The Effect of Child-Centered Parenting on Adoptive Children. Amber has also been involved with Operation Helping Hands, an organization that is working to rebuild the homes of people from New Orleans who have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Lastly, she has worked as a TSS worker, helping children diagnosed with an Axis I disorder in their homes, communities, and schools.
As an associate level therapist, Amber’s area of focus at the Center for Growth is with individuals and couples struggling with: anger, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, compulsivity, grief issues, sexual function/dysfunction and relationship problems.
